I experienced this unit in a flexible blended learning mode, with all teaching and learning activities delivered online. A variety of interactive activities provided context to online content and further developed my knowledge in clinical therapeutics, its underpinning elements, and principles of QUM. I also developed my skills in using evidence-based resources.
I completed a series of short quizzes during the semester to demonstrate the development of my knowledge of the safe and effective use of medicines in the context of patient care.

Learning outcomes
Demonstrate an understanding of basic drug actions (pharmacology), pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic concepts, and drug interactions in the context of patient care for improved health outcomes i.e. clinical therapeutics.
Source and apply up-to-date pharmacotherapeutic and clinical knowledge from key evidence-based resources.
Demonstrate an understanding of the need for safe, effective, appropriate and judicious use of medicines to promote QUM as an individual health practitioner, and in interprofessional healthcare teams.
Projects
Project One
Quiz.
I underwent a progressive compilation of quizzes that assessed my ability to source and apply knowledge from key evidence-based resources. These quizzes evaluated my knowledge and understanding of the safe, effective, appropriate, and judicious use of medicines to promote QUM. Additionally, they covered basic drug actions (pharmacology), pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic concepts, and drug interactions in the context of patient care.
Project Two
Patient Assessment.
I researched and identified any actual or potential medication issues, creating an interprofessional plan to solve these issues. I utilized a selected framework that assessed the safe, effective, appropriate, and judicious treatment within a comprehensive approach of the patient case to provide an action plan. This process helped me promote QUM in the context of patient care, functioning both as an individual health practitioner and as part of an interprofessional healthcare team.
Project Three
Examination.
I undertook an invigilated theory exam that assessed my knowledge and understanding of the safe, effective, appropriate, and judicious use of medicines. The exam covered the promotion of QUM, basic pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic concepts, and drug actions and interactions, all within the context of patient care for improved health outcomes.
